Respect at universities (for students)
Who is it for: This practical, interactive workshop is designed for international students who wish to gain a basic insight into the topic of sexual harassment in the specific environment of (Czech) universities.Annotation: Respect at universities is an interactive workshop where we talk about consent, sexual harrassement and violence, mainly at universities while reflecting cultural differences. We will discuss what can inappropriate sexual behaviour look like, how to spot it and how to help those who became victims of this kind of behaviour. We will go through several real-life scenarios and then together come to how you can be an active bystander instead of a passive one and how to lead others to do the same. An important part of the workshop will be a discussion about setting your boundaries and respecting them - not only your own but also the boundaries of others. We believe, that the university plays a significant part in the lives of young people and should therefore be a place where everyone feels safe and confident enough to have romantic and sexual relationships, while respecting oneself but also each other. Language: English When: 2nd May 2023 09:30 - 13:00 Where: Kounicův sál Registration: https://is.muni.cz/auth/obchod/baleni/304812?lang=en; You can register for the workshop through the Shopping Center.
