Start of the 2023/2024 academic year
The ceremonial opening of the academic year 2023/2024, associated with the presentation of the Rector's Award for outstanding teachers and the announcement of the Masaryk University University Wine, will take place on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. in the Fait Gallery (Ve Vaňkovce 2, 602 00 Brno). The event is intended for invited guests only.

Science festival
From Friday, September 8 to Sunday, September 10, let yourself be drawn into the attractive world of science, technology and history. The Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Center for Language Education and Institute of Computer Science will prepare a rich program for Masaryk University’s stands. Trials and experiments across various scientific fields await you. In this way, everyone can experience for themselves that science is not just a dry theory, but very often a practical, useful and fun thing. Entry to the event is free.

MjUNI at the Faculty of Economics and Administration and at the Language Centre
MjUNI offers a chance for pupils and students from 9 to 18 years of age to experience the life of a university student first-hand. This time, the Faculty of Economics and Administration and the Language Centre will open its doors. The whole program will be held in the Czech language. The event is intended only for registered students.

The objectiove of the meeting is to provide a comprehensive overview of the studies and opportunities that Masaryk University offers to high school students and their teachers. The event is held in Czech language only and is intended only for invited guests.

MjUNI suburban summer camp 2023
Camp participants will be provided with an organized program from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. led by experienced staff of the MUNI Faculty of Education. During the camp, educational activities, creative workshops, exercise activities, as well as games and competitions will be prepared for children. The program also includes 2 morning programs at the MUNI Mendel Museum and the VIDA Science Centre.

Summer school of Tutoring
This year, the third edition of the Summer School of Tutoring for children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and children of foreigners is taking place.The event will take place in the premises of the MUNI Faculty of Education. Once again, we organize it in cooperation with the Department of Social Pedagogy, which helps us not only with the organization, but also with staffing in expert areas. This is a volunteer program that was created to alleviate the educational disparities among children in the first level of primary schools, caused, among other things, by distance learning during the covid-19 pandemic.
