National Institute for Research on the Socioeconomic Impacts of Disease and Systemic Risks (SYRI) gala presentation
The main mission of the institute is scientific activity in areas of public interest, the general goal of the SYRI scientific agenda is to strengthen social resilience in relation to risk and crisis situations. The establishment of the SYRI institute opens unique opportunities for cooperation between the academic and public spheres. The institute brings together 150 scientists from Masaryk University, Charles University and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and is financed by the National Recovery Plan.

Science festival
This weekend, the Science Festival is taking place at the Brno Exhibition Center, where you can visit the program of scientists from Masaryk University. Chemical experiments, interesting things from the animal world, measurement of muscle strength or perhaps the launch of a water rocket await you.

Gregor Johann Mendel - Exhibition
The exhibition on Moravské náměstí will show the premises of the Mendel Museum in the Augustinian Abbey in Staré Brno, of which J.G. Mendel was an abbot and will make available the latest findings of Mendel's DNA research team of scientists from MU.

Symposium Heritage Science: Interdisciplinarity, Internationality and Infrastructures
Over the course of two days, the symposium will present monument science in its diversity and unity, from regional to European and global scope. Special emphasis will be given to the role of research infrastructures in the field of heritage science, as research infrastructures fall under one of the program priorities of the Czech Presidency. This event follows the symposium "Heritage for the Future, Science for Heritage: A European Adventure for Research and Innovation" held during the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union in March 2022 at the Louvre. The event will focus on the following topics: * Heritage Science: collaboration of various scientific disciplines * Heritage Science: cooperation at regional and transnational level * Heritage Science: the role of research infrastructures The working languages will be Czech and English.
