The Conference on Quality Assessment of Higher Education
This year's theme will focus on experience with the functioning of institutional accreditation and the system of approval of study programmes from the position of individual actors of quality assurance systems (the role of NAB, internal evaluation boards, guarantors of study programmes and students). Space will also be devoted to the possibilities of IT support for internal quality assurance systems and there will be a view to the future in the context of institutional accreditation. This year's event will be held in a full-time format. If you would like to come to Telč to see us, please register as soon as possible, as places are limited. For those of you who don't get a place, we will be filming the individual presentations again and will post the videos on our website after the conference.

All MU lecturers are cordially invited to the 13th Open space conference on e-learning IS MU under the auspices of the Rector of Masaryk University. The conference will take place at the Faculty of Informatics on Wednesday 13 September 2023 and will be held in Czech language.

Respect at universities (for students)
Who is it for: This practical, interactive workshop is designed for international students who wish to gain a basic insight into the topic of sexual harassment in the specific environment of (Czech) universities.Annotation: Respect at universities is an interactive workshop where we talk about consent, sexual harrassement and violence, mainly at universities while reflecting cultural differences. We will discuss what can inappropriate sexual behaviour look like, how to spot it and how to help those who became victims of this kind of behaviour. We will go through several real-life scenarios and then together come to how you can be an active bystander instead of a passive one and how to lead others to do the same. An important part of the workshop will be a discussion about setting your boundaries and respecting them - not only your own but also the boundaries of others. We believe, that the university plays a significant part in the lives of young people and should therefore be a place where everyone feels safe and confident enough to have romantic and sexual relationships, while respecting oneself but also each other. Science for Society 2023 Conference: Research Evaluation
The “Metodika 2017+” national research evaluation has provided conditions and motivation for universities to change how they look at research strategy and monitor research performance and impact. How have colleges grasped this opportunity, and to what extent are they autonomous in their internal evaluation system of academic activities? In particular, the issue of institutional evaluations in the university environment will be addressed at the Science for Society conference. We will discuss specific methods, the overall direction and culture of evaluation, and how it contributes to quality development in research and education.

Ukraine through Richard Bouda's lens
As a part of the Volunteering Days, the MUNI HELPS Volunteer Centre in cooperation with the Diecezni charita Brno presents a commented screening of a unique series of photographs by Richard Bouda from war-torn Ukraine, who has been documenting the situation in Ukraine since 2014.
