Advent concert of Masaryk University
Rector of Masaryk University Martin Bareš cordially invites you to the Advent concert of Masaryk University, which will take place on Wednesday, December 7, from 7:30 p.m. in the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary (Mendlovo náměstí 1b, Brno). The musical program was prepared by the Choir of Masaryk University in cooperation with the VOX IUVENALIS Choir of the BUT in Brno and the Mixed Choir of Kantiléna. The first part of the concert will feature choral compositions by Orlando di Lasso, Tomas Luis de Victoria, Benjamin Britten and Arvo Pärt. In the second half, you will listen to Louis Vierna's Messe solenelle, performed by all choirs and accompanied by an organ. Free entry. The Advent concert is intended for all employees, students and the general public.

Ceremonial announcement of the University Wine for the academic year 2022/2023
The official announcement of the University Wine for the academic year 2022/2023 will take place on November 24 from 5:00 p.m. in the Refectory of the MU Mendel Museum. During the evening, winning University and Student wines, as well as excellent wines, will be awarded. The event is intended only for invited guests after prior confirmation of participation.

Masaryk University tribute assembly
The events of November 1939 will be commemorated by Masaryk University on November 14 at a reverent meeting at the memorial in the Kounice dormitories. Rector Martin Bareš and representatives of the MU faculties will lay wreaths here and commemorate the imprisoned, tortured and executed members of the academic community of Masaryk University and other victims of the Nazi regime. By lighting a candle at this event, all students and staff can symbolically honor all the victims and heroes who did not give in in the face of evil.

European ducks or What are we willing to believe?
European ducks or What are we willing to believe? that's how six universities called the program by which they invite the public to a debate about freedom of speech and the media and about disinformation linked to the European Union. The moderator will be YouTuber Kovy. The event, which will take place on November 3, 2022 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Scala cinema in Brno, will also include the world premiere of the EU anthem for percussion instruments.

Masaryk University will join the Cake for Hospice event
On October 5, Masaryk University will join the charity event Cake for the Hospice organized by the Brno Diocesan Charity. Our volunteers will be collecting your contributions to services and home care for the sick at the Bohunice University Campus (at the Nemocnice Bohunice trolleybus stop) between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
