Advent Concert of Masaryk University
You are cordially invited to the Masaryk University Advent Concert. Wednesday, 7 December 2016, 8:00 PM Church of St. Michael, archangel, Dominikánské náměstí, Brno. Performers: Ensemble Versus & Cappella Ornamentata The chamber choir Ensemble Versus was formed in 2003 in cooperation with the Department of Musicology (Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, Brno). Its repertoire consists exclusively of sacred music composed during the 16th (Josquin Des Pres, Pierre de la Rue, Jacobus Vaet, Robert Parsons) and 20th centuries (Francis Poulenc, Maurice Duruflé, Alain De Ley, Bohuslav Martinů, Benjamin Britten, Petr Eben, Ivan Hrušovský). Its musicological background enables the ensemble to perform its own transcriptions of 16th century music. A special place in its repertoire is occupied by compositions composed specifically for Ensemble Versus.

Ball of Masaryk University students
You are kindly invited to the fourth Masaryk University Student Ball. This annual event is organised by Masaryk Student Union (MUNIE) in cooperation with Student Chamber of the Academic Senate. The ball will be held on 6. 12. 2016 in Bobycentrum hotel whose premises are both spacious and highly representative. Hence, the ball can be attended by up to 1500 students and employees of Masaryk University. Should you wish to dance the whole evening, there will be a band called Party Leaders playing for you. The Seminar Series: II) Law and Art
The Seminar Series in Social Sciences and Humanities are organized by Faculties of Masaryk University in order to bring together the multiplicity of disciplines the Social Sciences and Humanities offer. But not only the Social Sciences and Humanities. The course is offered to all Ph.D. candidates at the Masaryk University, but the number of attendants is limited to 80. II) Amy J. Goldrich’s practice focuses on counseling, transactions, dispute resolution, and general private client representation in the contemporary art world, both domestically and internationally.

Thayer: Evolution and International Relations Bradley A. Thayer, Ph.D., is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Iceland. He has been a Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Security at Harvard University and will be a Visiting Fellow at Magdalen College, University of Oxford. He has written on a large number of topics in international politics and international security, and has served as a consultant to the United States Department of Defense. His research integrates a broad range of professional interests: international politics, including international relations theory; grand strategy; United States national security policy including nuclear deterrence, cyber warfare, proliferation, and terrorism; the rise of China; NATO and transatlantic relations; and insights derived from the life sciences into political-behavioral topics, including the origins of war and ethnic conflict and the dynamics of suicide terrorism. His most recent book, co-authored with Brian M. Mazanec, is Deterring Cyber Warfare: Bolstering Strategic Stability in Cyberspace.
